Scribble Surfer Development Update

Some of you may have noticed there hasn't been any updates regarding the new version of Scribble Surfer in a while now, and there is a reason for it. I regret to inform you all that it has been cancelled. It was not an easy decision to make, but it was also a necessary one. Due to Scribble Surfer's nature as an infinite-runner, it actually takes an infinite amount of time to program. After spending about five minutes thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that my priority for the Ezcha Network should be to improve the platform and to add new features to it. I believe some of these new features could be crucial to the success of the platform and perhaps even... hype? Here is a short list of features and changes that are either planned, in development or even finished and soon to be released:

  • Making the API easier for outside developers to use
  • API documentation
  • Seven new additional elite membership tiers
  • A button to share games to Myspace and Digg
  • Lootboxes
  • A system where banned/terminated accounts can be pardoned for a small fee
  • Guilds
  • Pay to win microtransactions
  • Even more lootboxes
  • Replacing the forums with a guest book

However, despite being busy working on the platform I want to note that I am not done making games. I just find certain other games more important. Quite frankly, I don't believe Scribble Surfer could ever compare to the amount of depth and quality gameplay that some of my other games such as Don't Push The Button and a game have. While certainly not an uplifting announcement I hope you all can understand and see the bright side to this.

Best rizz-gards, Dylan
